Is this the course for you?
To participate, you need to be:
- A River Surf Ottawa-Gatineau (RSOG) member
- Age 14 and up
- Physically active, with average swimming ability
Rental equipment
Some equipment can be rented from Boreal River Rescue.
- Wetsuit (full length arms & legs, fleece-lined) - Free
- Helmet - Free
- Rescue PFD (with ‘quick-release’ harness) - Free
Course site
There are a number of great whitewater rescue training sites around Gatineau and Ottawa that we'll choose from depending on the water levels.
We'll likely meet at one of: the Ottawa Pumphouse, Parc Moussette, or Bate Island.
We'll let you know the exact meeting location the day before your course.
