  • scene management and containment
  • risk assessment and hazard identification
  • self-rescue
  • partner rescue
  • subject rescue

Learn through repetition and scenarios

Your team will be introduced to techniques on land and in easy rapids—before practicing skills repeatedly at a variety of sites. Later in the course, they’ll have to put all the pieces together as they work through realistic simulations. The scenario-based learning and multiple ‘at bats’ will provide your responders with a solid foundation for your agency’s swiftwater program.

These courses are for groups. Our instructors can travel to you or we can host your group at one of our training sites. The course will be customized to your organization and the type of calls you encounter.

As an individual, you can join a 2-day Whitewater Rescue (WWR) or 4-day Whitewater Rescue Technician (WRT) course.
